I graduated from university, literally, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. So, it was a solid 8 months before the world, and the beginning of my career could take off. The director/founder/boss asked how soon I wanted to start and I excitedly expressed "immediately".
Day 1 happened to be straight into a location scout AKA site recce for a pandemic awareness mask video for children. It was a cool way to start and get to know my new boss and colleagues too :)
The boss assigned me to shadow him and he took me through the client consultation - getting the direction and important elements. I was tasked to take notes. Afterwards, I was briefed on the project and equipment I needed to manage for the shoot taking place the next day!
